KIEV, Ukraine (AFP) — Forty policemen were injured during clashes with anti-lockdown protesters in Ukraine’s capital Kiev on Tuesday, police said in a statement. Protests are expected to take place outside the Verkhovna Rada (Supreme Council) building in Kiev between Wednesday, December 2, and Friday, December 4. The unrest started after police officers stopped a protester from setting up a tent on the square, after which tear gas was used. A large rally against coronavirus restrictions, organized by Ukrainian entrepreneurs and small businessmen in the country’s capital Kiev, grew out of control on Tuesday, with clashes erupting between police and protesters.
